Thursday, June 29th, 2006Neil Holm
From 6-7 August 2006 Australia’s Christian Heritage National Forum will be held at Parliament House, Canberra.
This event is designed to
- review the Christian contribution to the development of our nation
- explore the alignment of Jesus’ values with distinctive Australian values
- foster the development of our spiritual capital and our identity as a ‘Christianised’ nation
- build a broad-based coalition on the issues of public policy that affect all Australians.
The forum is sponsored by various sponsors including the Bible Society, Word, and Macquarie Christian Studies Institute.
One of the featured attendees of the Forum is Alex Mills, a Friend of the Wellspring Community who lives in Taree NSW. Alex is passionate about persuading the NSW Dept of Education to include religious influences in the 7-10 History syllabus and the K-6 HSIE Syllabus.
